This performance, Effective and Distinguished or at Least Approaching, addresses our identities as artists and teachers of art. In these roles, we pursue what is nameless, amorphous, contingent, unknown, sublime, and chaotic. As teachers we are asked to  count, name, quantify, and rank these things. Katie and I performed what that is like.
